ABOUT UP COLLECTIVE
WHAT IS UP Collective?
Launched in 2017, the UP Collective is an international livelihood programme for early-stage entrepreneurs who are forcibly displaced.
UP Collective is an international training & employment programme that brings together early-stage aspiring entrepreneurs who have been involuntarily displaced to explore business, gain professional experience, and build networks that drive them forward towards their vision of success.
Although each programme is special, there are core elements that guarantee impact. The programme follows the "design thinking" methodology- meaning we dive deeply into ideas, build models of how they might work, then test them with real users to see if they are valuable. This process of bringing ideas to life helps members get clear on what they have to offer, their personal goals, and what it might take to achieve them.
The 12-week intensive programme is combined with part-time employment to help members develop industry insights, build relationships, and ensure financial security during the exploratory business development phase.
UP Collective members start with wildly different ideas, from different industries, and represent different backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles- but everyone in UP Collective shares a drive to explore new things, a curiosity about what is possible, and ambition to make the world a more interesting place!
