JOIN THE UP COLLECTIVE IN YOUR CITY AS A VOLUNTEER BUSINESS MENTOR
UP Collective's training programmes are supercharged by volunteer mentors called Business Buddies. Business Buddies are friendly supporters who accompany entrepreneurs along the first stage of their business journey.
Mentors support entrepreneurs to apply the learning from entrepreneurial skills workshops throughout the programme to their own unique business idea. Mentors assist entrepreneurs to build their prototypes, and to design and prepare a great product or service test. They help to gather and reflect valuable feedback from the test, and encourage entrepreneurs to use the feedback to improve the idea and make it more market-ready.
Mentors do so much: they are cheerleaders, they are sounding boards, and they are friends. They provide inspiration, share skills, and ask all the right questions. They encourage entrepreneurs to build confidence and autonomy.
They also learn loads from the programme, the process, and from their mentees– and come back again year after year!
